DAY 1

Arrive in Delhi, where new and old meets: bullock-carts and cars; hand-pulled trolleys and trucks; Western fast food cafe’s and roadside golgappa ‘watery Indian bread’ carts; buses and rickshaws; suits and traditional Indian wear. As Delhi is the gateway to the rest of the country, it will be the starting point of your Beyond Adventure Himalaya India. You will be met by our team at the airport from where you will have a transfer to the Jim Corbett National Park. The shuttle will take some time due to distance but mainly because of the Indian traffic. Enjoy the “madness” and learn about their traffic rules from the comfort of your shuttle. Delhi is a truly cosmopolitan city and set to leave a long-lasting impression on you.

In the afternoon you arrive to the Jim Corbett National Park - home of many animal species and your home for the next days. Here your vehicle is waiting for you and the Beyond Adventure welcome dinner takes place. Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!

DAY 2

Welcome in the heart of the Jim Corbett National Park named after the legendary hunter, conservationist and author Jim Corbett. The park is India’s first one, established in 1936 as the Hailey National Park, it was renamed in 1957 in honour of Corbett who played a key role in its establishment. Situated in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, the park is primarily a protected area for the critically endangered the Royal Bengal Tiger of India, which is also the main objective of the Project Tiger Reserve Scheme of 1973, an Indian wildlife protection initiative.

Today get an introduction to the world of the tiger. You will be driven into the park by local rangers as the spotting starts.

These cats are wild elusive animals living in its natural habitat so there is no guarantee, however we will do all we can to spot them. The park is much more than tigers. You will have the opportunity to spot leopards, deer, langur monkeys, wild boars, peacocks, spotted deer, crocodiles, sloths and Himalayan black bears and the biggest of them all - the elephants.

DAY 3

Today will be an early morning start, as we will go deeper into the park again in the Ranger’s cars to observe the wildlife of the area in the company of a local naturalist. Even though the park has more than 100 tree species, about 450 species of plants and around 50 mammals, the main aim of today is still to spot the most magnificent one - the Bengal Tiger.

After lunch in the lodge, we head back for the afternoon game drive where we add to the chances of spotting the tigers. We work with a team of spotters to increase the probability of finding those magnificent wild cats.

Before dinner, relax and take your time to prepare yourself for the upcoming days behind the steering wheel of the Beyond Adventure vehicles.
