The Alps are full of famous roads. We are not interested in simply driving from one famous pass to another and taking a picture at the top.
For us, it is about finding the roads that make you want to keep driving.
The fast sections. The tight hairpins. The little roads you would never find on your own. The changing weather, the empty valleys and the moments when you look ahead and realise there is another hundred kilometres of great driving waiting for you.
That is what KALMAR Beyond Adventure Alps Circumference 2026 is about.
We drive the Alps. Properly.
We have spent a lot of time driving in the Alps, and one thing has become very clear: the best roads are not necessarily the ones everyone talks about.
A famous pass can be fantastic. It can also be full of traffic, coaches and tourists.
Sometimes the best drive of the day is a road that does not have a famous name at all.
So we build our routes around the driving rather than around a checklist of places. We connect the roads we like, look for the right conditions and keep enough flexibility to change the plan when the mountains give us a reason to.
Because that is how you get a great driving day.
The car is still the point
At KALMAR, we build cars to be driven. Beyond Adventure is simply another expression of the same idea.
Our cars are not built to sit outside a hotel looking good. They are built to take you somewhere.
And the Alps are a very good place to find out what a car is really like.
A wet descent. A rough mountain road. A long series of hairpins. A road that suddenly disappears into the clouds. You notice very quickly whether the car feels right, whether it communicates with you and whether you trust it.
That is why our adventure cars are prepared for real use. Ground clearance, tyres, protection, cooling, suspension and reliability are not things we add because they look good in a brochure. They are there because we use the cars ourselves.
And if you want to bring your own KALMAR, we are happy to discuss it. It simply needs to be properly prepared for the programme and approved by our team. We want every car in the group to be capable of doing the same job.
No racing. No convoy circus.
This is not about being the first one to the top.
We are here to drive well.
The roads decide the pace. Sometimes that means moving quickly when the road opens up. Sometimes it means slowing right down because there is no room for mistakes.
We are not interested in pushing people beyond their limits. We are interested in giving them the opportunity to enjoy their cars on roads that deserve them.
And because we keep the group small, we can actually do that.
With a maximum of 12 participants, we know who is driving with us, what they are driving and how the group is moving. There is no endless waiting for the back of a 30-car convoy to catch up.
It also means you quickly stop being a group of strangers.
By the end of the trip, you have shared enough kilometres, bad weather, good roads, fuel stops and stories to feel like a proper team.
The mountains are part of it
Of course, it is not all about the driving.
We choose the places we stay in for the same reason we choose the roads: because they add something to the experience.
After a long day behind the wheel, a great hotel, good food and a proper dinner with the people you have just spent the day driving with matter.
But we do not build the programme around luxury.
We build it around driving, and then make sure everything around it is good enough to match.
Expect the unexpected
The Alps do not care about our itinerary.
Weather changes. Roads close. Conditions are different from what we expected. A road that looked perfect on the map can be busy, while a completely unplanned detour can turn into the best part of the day.
That is why we do not believe in being too rigid.
We have a plan. We know the area. We have the experience and the support to deal with problems. But if the mountains give us a better option, we take it.
That is part of what makes Beyond Adventure different.
You are not simply following a GPS route that somebody prepared months ago.
You are there to drive.
Come for the roads. Stay for everything around them.
Alps Circumference 2026 is a serious driving programme, but it is not a competition and it is not an endurance test.
You do not need to prove anything. You just need to like cars, enjoy driving and be ready to spend long days behind the wheel. We will take care of the rest.
The Alps have more than enough roads. We just need to find the good ones.
