The RS-7 is a culmination of the vast experience the Beyond Adventure team has developed, but this time also the optics have been subject to a full redesign.

he arrival of the new RS-7 from KALMAR Beyond Adventure marks what could be the final Safari edition built on a classic steel sports car chassis. It offers the perfect blend of capability, whether navigating deep sand or gliding across smooth highway stretches.

Why the final? The answer is simple. The donor platform used for the RS-7 is the last of its kind to feature a full steel chassis. Even with more than a decade of experience crafting Safari Range cars, the KALMAR team does not take on the complexity of the latest mixed-material platforms, which are constructed from bonded aluminum and steel.

The first Beyond Adventure RS-7 has been finished as a road-going Safari car with a focus on comfort. It includes Recaro CS seats upholstered in classic Pepita. The removal of factory hi-fi and navigation units reduced weight and made space for a lightweight Bluetooth speaker. The centre console now houses a display for suspension adjustment and a tablet with digital maps, both essential for long overland journeys. Customers seeking a more stripped-back approach can also request a spartan, utilitarian interior configuration.

The RS-7 had its pre-launch at the Spirit of Speed ice driving event, hosted by KALMAR Beyond Adventure 100 km north of the Arctic Circle. The response was strong, with six units already committed and production now underway.
