This amazing route exhibits Africa’s natural uniqueness paired with exceptional lodging locations and an ultimate driving experience. This Beyond Adventure Trans-Africa is on an invitation-only basis. As can be expected with the Beyond Adventure Trans-series, you will be challenged to cross remote, often restricted areas in countries normally not visited by the average tourist.
We will sometimes push the cars beyond their typical limits. In these moments, ‘protect to survive’ is key, and clear driving instructions will be provided—after all, pulling a car free between lions might be a bit more adventure than we’re looking for! Rest assured, the entire Beyond Adventure team will be there from start to finish.
Overall, Southern Africa means amazing safari destinations, perfect for game-drives but is also a blend of unique habitats, incredible cultures and a nature spectacle second to none, all experienced through the windscreen of “your” Porsche! This Trans-Africa adventure will be as extraordinary as Trans-Andes and more… There are sure to be more challenges than on a “normal” Beyond Adventure but when you receive this invitation, it is because we know you can handle it. We will adapt to “Africa time” so some flexibility will be needed as we will see how far we can push the boundaries. We may need to find alternative routes if the rivers are too deep or the sand too soft… which can result in very long days… just like getting stuck and having to find solutions are sure to be a part of the programme.
